Akram Taha Mohammed Al-Magdoub


Architect, Designer and Visual Artist, Participant in several international and local architectural, cultural and visual art activities. Founder of “Integrated Design Studio”, Cairo, Egypt. Member of the “Supreme Council for Culture”, Architecture committee.

Member of the committee of “Aswan International Sculpture Symposium” 2009 – 2015, and Secretary-General of “Adam Henein Foundation” for Arts and Culture. He worked as the commissioner of the Egyptian Pavilion at “The Biennial of Venice” for Architecture, Italy in 2000. He also worked as a consultant for the Egyptian “Supreme Council of Antiquities” in 1998 – 2000.

He joined as a Jury Member in local and international competitions such as; the selection of the show at the “Egyptian pavilion at Venice biennial”, Egypt in 2014, and “Francesco Borromini” International Prize in Architecture, Youth Section, Rome, Italy 2001.

He was the Chief editor of “Al Benaa Al Arabi” architectural magazine, and “Al Emara” architectural magazine. He Designed distinguished private and public projects of different types such as: “Aswan Sculpture Open Museum” in Aswan, Egypt.

His work was displayed in a number of international and local exhibitions and museums, such as:

  • Aswan Sculpture Museum, Aswan, Egypt
  • Modern Art Museum, Cairo, Egypt

Recipient of international and local awards such as:

  • The State Award for Creativity in Architecture, Ministry of Culture, Egypt, 1994
  • The Golden Lion Award, for the best pavilion, La Biennale di Venezia, Italy, 1995

He also received a number of Certificates and Honours for his works from different places like Atelier d’Alexandrie, Supreme Council for Culture in Cairo and the National Centre for Plastic Arts.
